This concert, given by the St John Singers in aid of The National Osteoporosis Society, was greatly appreciated by a much larger audience than had been expexted.
Guest soloists were Sophie Gallagher soprano and Hugh Hetherington tenor who were joined by Alison Ogden contralto and Rob Blakey bass both members of the choir and 'Quintessentials' who are a small orchestral ensemble with Graham Horner timpani and David Coram organ.
The programme consisted of Purcell's "Jehovah, quam multi sunt hostes me" , Mozart's ,"Missa Brevis in D Major" Parry's "Blest Pair of Sirens" and Bob Chilcott's new "Requiem" receiving its first performance in Salisbury.
