Salisbury Medical Society presented a 'Wassail' to celebrate the start of the festive season which included Reception Drinks, Waitress served Dinner, Wine and a Christmas Raffle with St John Singers providing the festive entertainment throughout the evening.
Following twenty five years of Wassailing, when the St John Singers organised the whole event each year, the St John Singers was delighted to be the Guest Choir at the Salisbury Medical Society's 'Wassail' singing a variety of familiar and not so familiar carols to the appreciative audience.
Unfortunately, the Guest Soloist, Gaynor Keeble, mezzo soprano, was not able to get to Salisbvury on account of the heavy snow which fell that day and her place was taken at very short notice by ex Salisbury Cathedral Chorister Sophie Gallagher and two friends, one a former Head Chorister at Winchester Cathedral and the other a Scholar at Eton who happened to be staying in Salisbury.
Proceeds of the evening were given to the Hospital Stars Appeal
