Our Gala Summer Concert is the highlight of our 50th Anniversary Year and we look forward to seeing all our friends and former members enjoying the interval drink with us. "No expense spared" is not quite how Barney the Treasurer would put it, but the choir is supported by Daphne Moody leading the Orchestra, Andrew Post on the Organ, and, of course, Stephen Abbott directing the wide range of musical jewels.
The first performance of new music has been commissioned for the occasion from David Halls and Stephen Abbott.
Sir John Rutter's "Birthday Madrigals" will create a celebratory air, and the famous, Mozart "Coronation Mass" will end the concert with solos sung by successful local singers:
Chloe Riordan - Soprano, Cassandra Dalby - Mezzo,
Morley Beswick - Tenor, and Robert Blakey - Bass.
